On the Senate floor today:
- - - - Harry Reid's Statement - - - -
I've not heard Senator Reid's name mentioned as a potential nominee for President on the 2008 Democratic ticket. I wouldn't blame him if he doesn't want the job, but after today I bet his name will start cropping up. Thanks, Jane!

Wow, what a powerful and concise statement.
I hope Harry stays in the Senate. I think he'll make a much more effective senate president than U.S. president.
Eric,
I agree with you, and really don't think he'd make a run. It's just with the frustration some have with the current crop, it's easy to see the appeal of a moderate Democrat who has the courage of his convictions and tells it straight.
I still like the integrity of Feingold, but worry about the false "ultra-liberal" branding and the impact of his recent divorce. Of course they'll call anyone the Dems choose "ultra-liberal" regardless of who it is.
